Our Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LaBarbería's mobile application and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

LaBarbería is a platform that connects clients with barbers and barbershops in Puerto Rico. Our Service allows:

• Clients to discover, book, and pay for barber services
• Barbers to manage their schedules, services, and payments
• Barbershop owners to increase visibility and manage their teams

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

Account Types

LaBarbería offers different account types:

• Client accounts: For booking barber services (free)
• Barber accounts: For professionals offering barber services (subscription required)
• Barbershop Owner accounts: For managing barbershop visibility and team discovery (subscription required)

4. Bookings and Payments

For Clients

• A $1 service fee is charged per booking
• Bookings are confirmed once submitted through the app
• Cancellations made 24 or more hours before the appointment receive a full refund
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a 25% cancellation fee (if enabled by the barber)
• Payment can be made by card (via Stripe) or cash (where enabled by the barber)

For Barbers

• You are responsible for maintaining accurate availability
• Services and pricing must be accurately represented
• Payments are processed through Stripe Connect
• You receive 100% of service payments, minus the 3% Stripe processing fee
• If you cancel a booking, the client receives a full refund

5. Subscription Plans

LaBarbería offers the following subscription plans:

• Barber Monthly: $9.99/month — Full profile, bookings, card payments, availability, notifications, reviews
• Barber Annual: $101.99/year — Same features as monthly, with approximately 15% savings
• Barbershop Monthly: $19.99/month — Shop profile on map, invite unlimited barbers
• Barbershop Annual: $200.00/year — Same features as monthly, with approximately 15% savings

All plans include a 1-month free trial for new subscribers. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Provide false or misleading information
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

7. Content and Intellectual Property

All content on LaBarbería, including logos, designs, and text, is owned by LaBarbería or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

By uploading content (photos, reviews, etc.), you grant LaBarbería a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service.

8. Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and ratings for barbers. Reviews must be:

• Honest and based on actual experiences
• Respectful and not contain offensive content
• Not contain spam or promotional content

LaBarbería reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines.

9. Limitation of Liability

LaBarbería is a platform connecting clients and barbers. We are not responsible for:

• The quality of services provided by barbers
• Disputes between clients and barbers
• Any damages arising from the use of our Service

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable United States and Puerto Rico law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LaBarbería harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

11. Data Deletion

LaBarbería respects your right to the deletion of your personal data. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

12. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your data and any active subscriptions. Refunds for terminated accounts will be handled in accordance with the applicable app store policies.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
